The Department of Human Services will host a stakeholder/partner meeting regarding the 2017-19 budget and other topics on Friday, April 29th. DHS Director Clyde Saiki and members of the DHS Executive Team will share a brief presentation on the current status of the agency and where they are going in the next year.
There will be two meetings on the 29th:

May Interim Legislative Committee Days
The Oregon Legislature will hold May Legislative Committee Days Interim Legislative Committee Days allow an opportunity for interim committees to meet and hold hearings on topics of interest to the Legislature as a preview for the 2017 Legislative session, hold informational hearings on topics of interest and vet concepts and ideas for legislation. Older Americans Act Reauthorized
O4AD is pleased to report that the Older Americans Act has been reauthorized. The Older Americans Act is important legislation that provides services and supports for all older adults to remain in their home and/or community. The Act authorizes critical services including meals programs, job training, senior center support, caregiver support and elder justice programs. The reauthorization is only for three years but passed with bipartisan support.
